Hi, wonder if anyone can help, please.we produce a simple bar chart to show the number of penalty points awarded each month. The problem is that the number of points earned, (usually less than 3), is so small that graphically it’s difficult to represent, as the threshold for financial penalties is 300points. Is there any way of inserting a ‘break’ into the vertical axis so that one can see the data in each half of the chart in a different scale? Ie so that the 0% to 10% section of the graph is shown in a bigger scale (perhaps as a third of the size of the whole chart) and the remainder (ie 10% to 100%) is shown in a slighter smaller scale and squashed into the top two-thirds? Does that make some semblance of sense? Any ideas, or have I just made up a function something that’s completely impossible?! One way of overcoming this problem is to plot one of your series on the secondary axis; Right click on one of your series in the chart, select 'Format Data Series', choose the 'Axis' Tab and where it says 'Plot Series on' choose 'Secondary Axis'. You can then adjust your scales and format you series to suit. An alternative is to simply produce two charts instead on one. Copy your first chart by selecting the cell range that encompasses the chart (rather than the chart itself), copy and paste below. Remove one series from the top chart and the other series from the lower one then move them together and format the backgrounds so they look like two parts on the same chart. Nb, this only works if your chart is on a worksheet and not on a separate chart sheet. If you download and install Visual Basic Runtime, restart your computer after you have installed it and try the YTD Video Downloader again. Best youtube downloader for mac. If you don't have this on your computer or laptop, you will just keep getting the same error. If you install Visual Basic Runtime and it says, 'Class not registered,” then you will also need the MSSTDFM.DLL or the MSVBVM60.DLL files to make the YTD Video Downloader tool work. You will need to have “Visual Basic Runtime” installed to get the YTD to work. Jan 11, 2009 Is there a way to have the axis display from 0-20, then break and jump up to show 100-200? Its a very common practice, but most software tends to ignore it.
